Uttar Pradesh: Unnao: Rape is turning into an epidemic in India. A 23 years old gang-rape victim set on fire in Unnao of Uttar Pradesh. On Thursday morning before being set on fire by at least five people including two accused who have raped her in March this year. The woman, who has suffered 90% burn injuries, was on her way to attend the court in her case in Rae Bareli when she was brutally assaulted and then set on fire. The victim was taken to a local hospital after primary treatment she was referred to Civil Hospital Lucknow. According to doctors, the victim sustained 90% burn injuries.
Meanwhile, the magistrate has recorded the statement of the victim at the hospital, the victim has stated that she was going to Baiswara Bihar railway station around 4.30 AM. The Gang-rape victim said Shivam Dwivedi along with Hari Shankar Trivedi, Kishore, Shubham, Umesh Vajpayee and two others assaulted her at the Gaura crossing and stabbed her than they set her on fire. Unnao police arrested all five accused those who are involved in this crime, while one accused has granted bail on the gang-rape case. After getting bail the rape accused has done this to the gang-rape victim for taking revenge from her.
