A leopard found dead in Tengtamal forest area of Belpahar in the state of odisha .

NFTV Sajjad Badshah, Jharsuguda: Odisha: One female leopard found dead in Tengtamal village forest of Belpahar forest area of Jharsuguda district of Odisha. On getting the information from the locals, the forest officials of Belpahar range reached the spot and seized the dead leopard and sent it for postmortem. The recovered died leopard had lost it’s mouth having all it’s teeth removed. Moreover, nails and tip of the tail was removed from the recovered dead leopard. S2450008
The vetenary doctor who had made postmortem of the leopard told NFTV that the killing of the leopard is done with explosive used for the Barah killing as both lower and upper jaw of the leopard has been blown away. Moreover, the removal of nails and tail suggest the hunter has removed these after killing the leopard. The DFO of Jharsuguda Mr Arjun Charan Behera said as the incidence happened bordering Sundargarh district; so both Jharsuguda and Sundargarh would jointly see that if there is any gang operating within the area of Tengtamal forest area . It’s noteworthy that the died leopard was aged about four years and height of 2.5 feet and length of 5.6 feet.
